Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of Pawverse's mobile applications, websites, and related services. By creating an account or using Pawverse, you agree to these Terms and the Community Guidelines. The Privacy Policy explains how Pawverse handles personal information. If you do not agree, do not create or use a Pawverse account.

During pre-production testing, Pawverse is operated under the Pawverse product name. The final registered entity name, legal form, registry code, registered office, business telephone number, and VAT registration status are awaiting client verification and will be inserted before public launch. Pawverse is a general-audience pet social service for people aged 13 or older and does not offer an under-13 account mode. You must also meet any higher minimum age, guardian authorization, or other eligibility requirement that applies where you live. If you use Pawverse for an organization, you confirm that you are authorized to accept these Terms for it.

The human account holder controls the Pawverse account. Pet profiles belong to that account and are not independent legal users. You must provide accurate information, keep your credentials secure, and promptly report suspected unauthorized access. You may not sell, transfer, rent, or lend an account, create a deceptive identity, or claim a username in bad faith. Pawverse may reclaim a username when reasonably necessary to address impersonation, infringement, inactivity, or service administration.

Pawverse grants you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable permission to use the service in accordance with these Terms. You may not copy, sell, reverse engineer, interfere with, overload, or bypass Pawverse; access it through unauthorized automation; scrape or harvest accounts or content; probe security; introduce malware; or use Pawverse in a way that violates law or another person's rights.

You retain ownership of content you create and remain responsible for it. You must have the rights and permissions needed to share your content, including any image, video, audio, name, likeness, or information about another person. When you submit content, you grant Pawverse a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, cache, reproduce, technically adapt, transcode, moderate, display, and distribute that content only as needed to provide, secure, maintain, and improve Pawverse. Pawverse may sublicense those limited permissions to service providers working for Pawverse. The license ends when the content is deleted from Pawverse's active service, except where a copy must remain for another user's lawful experience, normal backup rotation, safety or dispute evidence, or another valid legal reason. This license does not transfer ownership of your content to Pawverse.

Content you publish to public Pawverse surfaces can be viewed, shared within Pawverse, or captured by other people. Messages are intended for their participants, but Pawverse may process them as needed to deliver the feature, protect users, enforce rules, and comply with law. Use care before sharing personal or sensitive information. Blocking, deletion, or account closure may not remove copies another person has already received or lawfully retained.

You must follow the Community Guidelines, which form part of these Terms. They prohibit child sexual abuse and exploitation, animal abuse, sexual exploitation, credible threats, hate, targeted harassment, serious violence, encouragement of self-harm, fraud, scams, unlawful trade, malicious disclosure of private information, impersonation, spam, platform abuse, and attempts to evade enforcement.

Pawverse may use automated tools and authorized reviewers to detect, review, limit, remove, or preserve content and to warn, restrict, suspend, or disable accounts. Pawverse considers context, severity, risk, account history, and applicable law. Serious or urgent risks may require immediate protective action. Where required or appropriate, Pawverse provides a reason and an available appeal or complaint path. Moderation can make mistakes, and an appeal does not guarantee reversal. Pawverse is not required to monitor every item before it appears.

Use the in-app Report action on the exact profile, post, story, comment, or message whenever possible. Reports must be made in good faith and must not be used to harass or knowingly mislead. Account Status provides available reasons and appeals for eligible enforcement decisions. Copyright, data-rights, and formal illegal-content notices use the dedicated routes on www.pawverse.pet. If a person or animal is in immediate danger, contact the appropriate local emergency service first; Pawverse is not an emergency service.

The Privacy Policy explains what information Pawverse handles and the choices and rights that may apply. Pawverse may send messages needed to verify, secure, operate, or enforce an account. Optional marketing communication is a separate choice and may be withdrawn using the available preference or unsubscribe control.

Pawverse can rely on or link to third-party services, such as sign-in, hosting, media, email, or notification providers. Their own terms and privacy notices may apply to their services. Pawverse is not responsible for a third-party service that Pawverse does not control and does not endorse third-party content merely by linking to it.

Pawverse may add, change, suspend, or discontinue features, limits, or compatibility and may perform maintenance. Pawverse does not promise that every feature will always be available, error-free, or supported on every device. When a change to these Terms or the Community Guidelines is material, Pawverse will provide appropriate notice and may require acknowledgement before continued use.

You may temporarily deactivate or request deletion of your account through available account controls. Pawverse may restrict, suspend, or terminate access for a violation of these Terms, the Community Guidelines, law, or service safety, or when necessary to protect Pawverse and its users. Account deletion is subject to the stated recovery period and lawful retention exceptions described in Pawverse's privacy and deletion notices. Terms that by their nature should survive account closure, including rights, liability limits, dispute terms, and lawful evidence retention, continue to apply.

Pawverse is a social service, not a veterinary clinic, emergency service, insurer, payment provider, or guarantee of any user, animal, advice, product, or transaction. User content reflects the user who shared it, not Pawverse. Seek a qualified veterinarian or emergency professional when appropriate. To the extent permitted by law, Pawverse is provided on an as-available basis and Pawverse does not promise uninterrupted access or that all user content is accurate, safe, or lawful. Mandatory consumer rights and warranties that cannot lawfully be excluded remain unaffected.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including applicable liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, or death or personal injury caused by negligence. Subject to that rule, Pawverse is not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss, lost profits, lost data, or harm caused by another user or a third-party service where applicable law permits that exclusion. Any remaining liability is limited to the loss that was reasonably foreseeable from the relevant breach.

Subject to mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live, these Terms are governed by the laws of Estonia and disputes may be brought before the competent courts of Estonia. Consumers may also bring a claim or use a mandatory complaint or out-of-court remedy where applicable law allows. Nothing in these Terms limits rights available under the EU Digital Services Act or other non-waivable law.

These Terms, the Community Guidelines, and policies expressly incorporated into them form the agreement for using Pawverse. If one provision is unenforceable, the rest remain in effect. A delay in enforcing a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign your account or these Terms without Pawverse's consent; Pawverse may assign them as part of a lawful reorganization, financing, merger, or transfer of the service, subject to applicable notice and consumer law. The English version governs unless applicable law requires otherwise.
